two of my latest Carter Pattern Neckers...Just thought I'd share:
This one is a pretty simple user with Brown canvas Micarta w/ White and Forest Green Liners and deferentially heat treated 1095 7 1/2" overall
....AND this one is Jade G10 with Micarta liners and same as the above one...
Have a great week!
Well this only took three hours to fit- yikes.... Tremendous respect to those tradional makers that fit rombic cross sections regularly...I don't find it very easy myself. Seems like wire EDM would work nicely but that's expensive and cheating-LOL. I'm pretty happy with the fit of the puukko bolster though considering, lots of slow going though. Measuring and remeasuring...
Now it's relatively easy sailing
Have a Great week All!
I have been really busy so far this year but I have been working pretty hard and have some knives if great progress! I'm really happy with my latest batch of knives which I'll be showing over the next week...here's a taste of two of them:
The last...5 months? Something like that...I have been pretty busy trying to balance taking college classes as a high school student and still making knives. I have been growing so much as an individual and knife maker in these last several month. I have been getting better in my finish and design of knives exponentially. Its been a ton of fun to watch my knife making improve and I hope others can see the difference. God has been so good to me in these last few months, I feel so very blessed. here are a few recent pieces:
I'll just leave you with this:
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.
Have a blessed week Everyone!
Life gets busy in the summer and knives seem to find there way to the back row but I have been working on a BUNCH of new knives and this is the first one....more are on the horizon!
This is my latest knife. I have been struggling to finish knives because I keep starting new things and it seems like knives never get finished; however, I did finish this one out of W2 with my first cord wrap and I really like it. The sheath works super smooth....Sharpend to a 6000 mirror edge...not to bad for cutting banana
I haven't been posting on my blog in a while so thought Id ad some stuff. I doubt that very many people even look as this though. Anyway, I'm now on INSTAGRAM now as RohdeEdge. I have been prett busy working on knives and I am happy to say I'm getting better!
Here's the latest work:
I thought I would add this sections to talk a little bit about what I'm doing and keep you all up to date with what is going on in the shop.
